Portable Dentistry Begins at FHC

On Monday, November 5, Family Health Center of Battle Creek (FHC) had its first portable dentistry appointment at Harrington School in Albion.  A total of 133 children were seen during visits at the school.  We have also seen 27 students at Washington Gardner School and 21 students at Marlee School and are beginning to see students at Homer School.  We will soon be visiting Doris Klaussen, and Prairie View.  Dental services are available for all children, insured or uninsured, at no charge to the parent/guardian.  During the appointment, a dental hygienist and dental assistant complete a dental screening, cleaning, fluoride, and sealants (if sealants are needed).  If you would like portable dentistry to come to your school, contact Chris Davis, Portable Dentistry Manager, or Ronnie Hecht, Portable Dentistry Coordinator, at (269)965-8866
