Janis E. Dillard, Chief Operating Officer

Janis Dillard joined the Family Health Center of Battle Creek in 1993 and has served as Chief Operating Officer since 1995. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University (WMU) and completed postgraduate work in business and education at WMU. Her professional experience includes medical procedures instructor, office management, and medical office management consulting.

She has been instrumental in the growth of the Center with her organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills. Janis has helped develop an excellent team of managers with her ability to nurture, mentor, and facilitate leadership through team work and communication. In 1999, she received the MPCA (Michigan Primary Care Association) Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her accomplishments. Janis is committed to high-quality patient care and is willing to explore new ways of improving and encouraging staff education. She recently spearheaded Open Access which is a goal of 40% open/available appointments at the start of each business day. Open Access has been very successful and well received by patients and staff.
